Zenith Bank Plc commemorated its 35th anniversary with a grand celebration on August 15, 2025, at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The milestone event gathered stakeholders, partners, staff, and friends of the bank to celebrate over three decades of innovation, trust, and consistent leadership in Nigeria’s financial sector.
As part of the programme, the bank paid special tribute to its pioneer customers and long-serving employees whose loyalty and contributions have played a crucial role in Zenith’s remarkable journey.
In her remarks, Dame Dr. Adaora Umeoji OON, Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank Plc, reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to excellence and customer-focused solutions. “Zenith Bank’s story is one of trust and commitment. Today, we not only mark 35 years of progress, but also honour the people—our customers and our staff—who made it all possible,” she noted.
Founder and Chairman, Mr. Jim Ovia CFR, also addressed the gathering, commending the bank’s sustained influence and solid reputation built over the years.
The celebration drew several high-profile guests including Nigeria’s Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima GCON (a Zenith Bank alumnus), Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote GCON, and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi. Former governors Peter Obi (Anambra) and Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom, also a Zenith alumnus), alongside other dignitaries, were also in attendance.
The evening featured thought-provoking speeches, award recognitions, and captivating musical performances, creating a memorable experience for all.
