Fidelity Bank Plc, a top-tier financial institution in Nigeria, has reactivated international usage on its Naira Debit Cards. With this update, customers can now make payments abroad, shop online with ease, and withdraw cash from ATMs outside the country—further demonstrating the bank’s focus on offering seamless global banking experiences.

According to Ifeoma Onibuje, Divisional Head of eBanking at Fidelity Bank, “We are delighted to let our customers know that Fidelity Naira Cards can once again be used across the world. This means travelers and online shoppers can complete transactions abroad conveniently using their Naira Debit Cards.”

She further explained that cardholders are now allowed to spend up to $1,000 per quarter on international POS and online transactions, while withdrawals from overseas ATMs are capped at $500 quarterly.

The move expands on Fidelity Bank’s existing range of foreign currency debit and credit cards, giving customers more flexibility for international spending. With VISA and Mastercard-powered Naira Debit Cards, users now enjoy stress-free global payment access.

Beyond payments, VISA cardholders also receive added benefits such as airport lounge entry, spa discounts via the Visa Airport Companion App, fast-track immigration services, and 20% savings on SIXT car rentals worldwide.

Obtaining a card has also been made simple—customers can either apply directly through the Fidelity Mobile App or walk into any branch to request one and start transacting globally without stress.

Currently serving over 9.1 million customers, Fidelity Bank operates through 255 branches in Nigeria and its UK subsidiary, FidBank UK Limited. The bank has consistently been recognized for excellence, winning awards like the 2024 Excellence in Digital Transformation & MSME Banking Award (BAFI), the 2024 Most Innovative Mobile Banking Application (Global Business Outlook), and Euromoney’s 2024 Best Bank for SMEs. Its recognition as Export Financing Bank of the Year further reflects its role as a leader in delivering innovative banking services.
