Glovo has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises in Nigeria with the launch of its latest Glovo Academy in Abuja. Since its introduction in 2022, the initiative has supported more than 1,000 local SMEs, contributing over ₦11 billion in value.

The platform has also recorded steady growth, with orders in Abuja rising by 30% year-on-year while partnering with over 1,000 local restaurants. Through Glovo Academy, SMEs receive training, digital tools, advisory services, and financial support to improve their operations, strengthen their branding, and increase online sales.

Partnerships with agencies such as SMEDAN are also boosting the initiative. Businesses are being offered free registration, affordable loans at rates below 10%, and access to capacity-building programs through institutions like the Lagos and Kaduna Business Schools.

Glovo’s push underscores the importance of collaboration between technology companies, government agencies, and SMEs in unlocking economic value and building more resilient businesses in Nigeria.
