Oando Plc has announced the appointment of Mrs. Folasade Ibidapo-Obe as its new Company Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer, effective immediately. The disclosure was made in a regulatory filing to the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) on August 8, 2025.
Mrs. Ibidapo-Obe takes over from Ms. Ayotola Jagun, who assumed the role of Executive Director in May this year after serving as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer for 14 years.
According to Oando, the appointment underlines the company’s dedication to upholding robust governance structures and ensuring regulatory compliance across its operations.
“Her wealth of experience and expertise in corporate governance will be instrumental in strengthening our governance framework and maintaining our commitment to ethical business practices,” the company stated.
About Folasade Ibidapo-Obe
With nearly two decades of professional experience in Nigeria and Canada, Mrs. Ibidapo-Obe is a seasoned legal and governance expert. She earned her LL.B (Hons.) from the University of Lagos and later obtained an LL.M in International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation (with distinction) from the University of Warwick, UK.

Mrs. Ibidapo-Obe began her career at Strachan Partners, Nigeria, before taking on roles at Ocean and Oil Holdings, Oando Energy Resources Inc. (Toronto), Enghouse Systems, and most recently, Magna International Inc., where she served as Assistant Corporate Secretary. Her work has consistently focused on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and company secretarial practice.
